John Dermody Ventures Announces Restructure, Appoints New President
John Dermody Ventures announced on Wednesday that they have begun a company restructuring to position the company for the next economic cycle. The announcement included several executive changes including the appointment of Paul Tanguay as President of the firm. Lash Turville will also be retiring as General Manager and John Hart, Leasing Manager, will be moving on to other opportunities outside the company.
Gigi Turville, the company’s CEO and Managing Partner, announced the changes as the commercial real estate market trends in the U.S. have shown a few signs of turning the corner for the first time in several years. “Paul Tanguay brings a strong thirty year real estate track record to our team and we are excited to have him take over the reigns as our President. I want to personally thank Lash and John for their outstanding contributions to our performance and reputation as a team and as a family,” said Turville.
“We have determined that we must continue our legacy of strong relationship building and pioneering new approaches and innovation in servicing the fifteen U.S. commercial real estate markets we currently operate in and consider further enhancing our market positions.” said Turville, “To do this we must anticipate the ever changing tide, work smart and lean, and seize the opportunities that finally are starting to pencil after this long decline we have experienced in our space. Above all, we must continue to maintain the strength and success of our partner and tenant relationships.”
As the new President, Mr. Tanguay will oversee all day to day operations of the company with specific oversight over property management, leasing, sales, and all new business development. Mr. Tanguay brings with him an extensive real estate career spanning three decades having held positions with large national and regional real estate and construction firms over multiple development and land use applications.
John Dermody Ventures is a privately held company founded by John Dermody in Reno, Nevada which continues to be its hub of operations. It currently owns and manages retail, office and light industrial properties throughout the western United States region in fifteen different cities.
